Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to provide high-level troubleshooting and repair for production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You will lead safety-focused maintenance practices and support equipment reliability across the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, wiring changes, PLC troubleshooting, reading diagrams, and stocking parts.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Maintenance or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Working knowledge of production equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic).
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment problems.
• Experience with Electrical DC and AC up to 460 volts is required.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs is a plus.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read, convert and understand fractions, decimals, millimeters, centimeters, feet and inches.
• Effective analytical and communication skills (written and oral).
• Organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive or predictive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using testing instruments.
• Removes defective devices and inspects parts for wear and alignment.
• Reads ladder logic and control wiring diagrams to troubleshoot controls.
• Dedicates attention to safety standards and reduces downtime through preventive maintenance.
• Designs and implements electrical wiring changes to improve equipment performance.
