Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support routine maintenance in a highly automated plant. This multi-craft role covers electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, with focus on troubleshooting and quick repairs to keep production running.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical problems from blueprints, install and test systems, and collaborate with technicians to prioritize safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Trade/Technical School certification
• 3+ years Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
• 3+ years plus Electrical troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities

• Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, laptop)
• Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot & repair electrical, electronic systems, control and components of industrial machines, tools, and production/utility equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Including but not limited to seals, gaskets and bearings on motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
• Other duties as assigned
