Job summary

HelloFresh Newark, NJ is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to coordinate and lead the maintenance team responsible for conveyors, automation, robotics, and facilities equipment. You will drive uptime, reliability, and safety across operations.

The role requires 4–6 years in related maintenance, with hands-on PLC, schematics, and cross-functional leadership experience. On-site role with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration repair and maintenance.
• Reading and understanding basic schematics.
• Travel up to 5% for business.
• Associates degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and educate safety, food safety, and security standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and escalate to leadership or vendors as needed.
• Document all work in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Mentor maintenance personnel to develop appropriate skills.
• Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events.
• Act as maintenance Point of Contact in the absence of the site leader.
• Assist managers in developing training materials and performing training.
• Perform inventory management, assign work, and minor project management.
• Perform building project work as assigned.
