Job summary

HelloFresh in Newark, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join the maintenance team. You will maintain conveyors, automation, robotics and related equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, document work in CMMS, mentor teammates, and participate in root cause analyses of downtime events.

This role requires 2-4 years of related experience and a HS diploma, with a preference for Mechatronics background.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration repair and maintenance.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechatronics associates or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and ability to troubleshoot these systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, and security standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot of out-of-service equipment and escalate to leadership or senior tech as needed.
• Document all work in the CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Mentor maintenance personnel and develop equipment knowledge.
• Assist with root cause analysis of downtime events.
• Perform building project work as assigned.

Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician II, you will work with the maintenance team to maintain and repair conveyance, automation and facilities equipment to support operations uptime and improve reliability of our systems.

Shifts based on business needs

You will...

• Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and security standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment as needed.
• Perform routine troubleshooting of assigned out of service equipment and correct issues, act as an escalation point for lower level technicians, and elevate to leadership and/or more senior technicians as needed for additional troubleshooting.
• Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate.
• Mentor all maintenance personnel in developing appropriate skill sets and knowledge of equipment.
• Assist and/or perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.
• Perform building project work as assigned.

You have...

• 2-4 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration repair and maintenance including mechanical and electrical operations.
• Intermediate understanding of machinery and equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand basic schematics.
• Ability to travel as necessary (up to 5%) for business purposes.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent follow through, judgment, and common sense. "Make it happen" attitude.
• Mechatronics associates or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and ability to troubleshoot these systems preferred.
