Job summary

Sapporo USA in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sr Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance services and repair to facility and process equipment, ensuring safety and production schedules are met.

The role works on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm) on packaging lines in a food/beverage environment, performing electrical, mechanical, and HVAC tasks, maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, and mentoring other technicians to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably on packaging lines in the food or beverage industry.
• Computer knowledge, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret LOTO documents, schematics, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Demonstrates excellent safety practices and cost-saving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety regulations, writes LOTO and other safety permits.
• Observes equipment to diagnose problems and perform repairs.
• Dismantles devices to access and replace defective parts.
• Maintains electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Documents Work Orders and PMs in the CMMS; orders stock parts.
• Leads or mentors other maintenance technicians on jobs and training.
