Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Maintenance Technician for a 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM schedule (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and alternating Saturdays) to support production goals. You will diagnose and repair production/packaging equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and document activities per cGMP and SOPs.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely repairs to minimize downtime, with responsibilities including training of less experienced mechanics and adherence to all plant policies.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated with strong math and English reading/writing.
• Able to read mechanical/electrical manuals and schematics.
• Experience in cGMP or FDA-regulated manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work area during and at the end of each shift.
• Assist in achieving EH&S goals by working safely and following policies.
• Perform maintenance and repairs of production/packaging equipment to support on-time delivery.
• Set up and changeovers of production/packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Provide guidance and training to junior mechanics on PMs and changeovers.
