Job summary

AbbVie seeks an entry level Maintenance Technician for a night shift (7pm–7:30am) on a Wed/Thu/Fri schedule with alternating Saturdays and a 15% night differential. The role focuses on preventive and demand maintenance, supporting senior technicians to develop cross-disciplinary skills in industrial maintenance.

Candidates should have an HS diploma or technical training and basic tool use; completion or enrollment in a technical program is desirable.

• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate.
• Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).

Job Description

This is a B2 shift 7pm-7:30am Wednesday/Thursday/Friday & every other Saturday ( w/15% Diff night shift pay increase)

This position is an entry level maintenance position. This role will serve as a primary resource on preventive and demand maintenance activities within their current skill set while supporting Senior technicians with more advanced tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Abbvie’s Code of Business Conduct
• Understands and follows all GMP and Safety regulations
• Work with Sr Level Technicians across several areas of Maintenance to build a diverse, multi-craft foundation for their career in the Skilled Trades with the intent of building skills and developing into a higher-level Technician.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
  Vocational training to increase skill set and knowledge across multiple maintenance functions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
• Perform Preventive and Demand Maintenance activities, support Predictive Maintenance activities.
• HS diploma with 0+ yrs. experience or Relevant Certificate. Completion or current enrollment in a formal technical school program related to Industrial Maintenance desired.
  Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

Preferred

• 6 months of experience with maintenance activities and Mechanical or electrical aptitude Highly Desirable
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic drawings Highly Desirable
• Some experience with preventative maintenance and demand maintenance Highly Desirable
