Job summary

Randstad USA in Carrollton, GA seeks a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance operations at our packaging and paper facility, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. You will lead a two-person team, schedule PMs, and manage MRO inventory and parts ordering.

You will diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on automated packaging lines, work with PLCs and controls, and ensure safety with LOTO and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance in manufacturing environments.
• Strong ability to read mechanical/electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with PM programs and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily maintenance priorities for a two-person team and manage PM program.
• Oversee spare parts inventory, sourcing, and purchasing for repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
• Set up and troubleshoot PLCs and automated control systems.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance operations at our Carrollton, GA packaging and paper manufacturing facility on a Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM schedule. s the senior lead of a two-person team, you will manage preventive maintenance (PM) scheduling, oversee MRO inventory and spare parts ordering, and serve as the primary technician for complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting on advanced automated packaging equipment and plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Department Leadership & Planning: Direct daily maintenance priorities for the two-person team, and build, schedule, and track the plant’s preventive maintenance (PM) program to eliminate unplanned downtime.
• Inventory & Purchasing Management: Manage department spare parts inventory, monitor stock levels, source vendor parts, and issue orders to ensure critical components are always available for repairs.
• Troubleshooting & Emergency Repair: Rapidly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production machinery and automated packaging lines.
• Automation & Controls: Set up and troubleshoot PLCsand automated industrial control systems.
• Technical Documentation & Safety: Read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals to execute complex repairs while maintaining strict adherence to safety rules, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and OSHA compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Multi-Craft Expertise: Advanced hands-on proficiency in mechanics (gearboxes, pumps, conveyors), industrial electronics, 480V electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• PLC & Controls: Direct experience programming, backing up, and fault-finding PLCs and automated control systems.
• PM & Inventory Management: Proven ability to manage PM schedules and handle MRO inventory procurement, preferably using a CMMS.
• Schematics & Blueprints: strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

Qualifications & Background

• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, paper, or packaging plant.
• Leadership Capability: strong leadership skills to mentor junior technicians, direct shift work, and take ownership of plant reliability as the senior technician.
• Safety & Compliance: Excellent safety record with full commitment to plant safety standards,
