Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our equipment and facility running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and part replacements, and you will report needed changes to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Applicants should demonstrate basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and welding skills. PLC logic knowledge and SAP experience are a plus, with a minimum of one year in an industrial setting. Shift: 12 hours nights.

  • Advanced electrical troubleshooting and PLC logic knowledge a definite plus.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP knowledge beneficial.
  • Minimum of 1 year industrial experience requested.

Responsibilities

  • Keep equipment and facility operational by performing preventive maintenance.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and plant SOPs; report needed changes.
  • Complete repairs and install replacement parts as required.
  • Participate in SQF-related processes and corrective actions.

Maintenance Technician
Summary:

This position is responsible for keeping equipment and facility operational by completing preventive maintenance schedules, following policies and procedures, completing repairs, installing replacement parts, and reporting needed changes.

Background / Experience:

Applicants should have the ability to demonstrate basic skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and welding.

Education / Knowledge:

Advanced experience in electrical troubleshooting and PLC logic is a definite plus. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and SAP knowledge would be an additional benefit. Minimum of (1) year industrial experience requested.

Must be able to work safely and follow plant SOP, LOTO and PPE.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities For All Employees
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
