About you and this role
Immediate openings exist in Auburn, MI for experienced Journeyman Electrician. This role is for highly motivated persons with Electrical repair experience that exhibit leadership skills, display flexibility in working with others, have experience working in a chemical plant, demonstrate proficiency in electronic tools and embrace an ownership culture.
The job is primarily performed on days, Monday through Friday. Overtime (Hold-over, Pre-Scheduled and Call-in) is required as needed to perform the necessary repairs to keep our Plant Partners operating. Participation in the After Hour Craft Call-in rotation is an expectation of this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative Maintenance on Electrical equipment according to defined schedules and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and provide effective repairs to all the components of electrical equipment and distribution systems.
- Develop procedures that efficiently, effectively and safely diagnose and repair Electrical equipment / systems.
- Mentor / train others in proper repair procedures and technology.
- Document repair history, initiate Reliability improvements and resolve adverse equipment conditions.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert support to Improvement / Capital Projects.
- Provide expertise in Root Cause Investigations
- Provide back-up capability for Staff and Turnaround roles to ensure Plant Partner success.
Required Qualification
- Must hold either a State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician License or a Master Electrician License
- Must have a current, valid US driver’s license to drive a company vehicle for parts and other activity on-site.
- Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to earplugs, goggles, steel-toed shoes, and uniform fire resistant and chemical protectants (FR/CP)
- Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of materials, as well as standing or walking for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications

- The job is primarily performed on weekdays, Monday through Friday. Overtime is required as necessary to affect the necessary repairs to keep our Plant Partners operating. After hours Call-ins are a part of this role.

- Effectively work and maintain relationships with the Natural Work Teams and key stakeholders with diverse perspectives and background is essential, including Engineers, Operations personnel, and co-workers to identify and resolve technical issues.
