The Job at a Glance

As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, known internally as the Automation Whisperer, you will support mechanical systems in our Distribution Center. Your responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and performing critical repairs to ensure smooth operations. You will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to diagnose and repair material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

A Typical Day

• Perform advanced preventative maintenance on conveyor systems, sorters, truck loaders, and other equipment
• Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-controlled problems
• Perform emergency repairs as needed
• Train Level 2 technicians and apprentices
• Conduct daily inspections and address issues
• Perform diagnostic tests and coordinate with vendors
• Support fire/sprinkler systems, generators, HVAC, and other equipment
• Use ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, and hand tools
• Collaborate with leadership to support operational changes

To Land This Opportunity

• 5+ years of mechanical experience in an automated distribution environment
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-controlled systems
• Ability to perform complex repairs with remote support, reading manuals and blueprints
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
• Vehicle certification or willingness to obtain it
• Comfortable working in a busy warehouse with varying temperatures and sounds
