Sr Maintenance Technician - Days M-F, Pay range from $35-$48/hr

The Sr. Maintenance Technician ensures equipment uptime through timely, in-depth troubleshooting and repair of all equipment failures. The Sr. Maintenance Technician shares knowledge of all production equipment with the maintenance team and Operators. Acts as a subject matter expert on at least one of the following areas: injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and/or stretch wrappers. Performs troubleshooting and repair of facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, Reverse Osmosis, and other water filtration equipment. Works directly with Maintenance Technicians, machine Operators, Supervisors, and Managers to resolve mechanical issues. Develops and implements best practices aligned with Niagara’s maintenance strategies, champions continuous improvement, and assists in training.

Essential Functions
  • Adhere to and enforce the highest standards in safety and good manufacturing practices plant-wide.
  • Train and lead Operators, Mechanics, and Supervisors on technical procedures related to high-speed bottle manufacturing and packaging.
  • Work with plant leadership on projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and problem resolution.
  • Identify machine problems rapidly to minimize downtime, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Partner with other Sr. Maintenance Technicians to resolve cross-functional problems.
  • Use available software systems to analyze and improve throughput performance.
  • Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment during planned downtime.
  • Transfer knowledge to team members to develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in bottling and injection technology areas.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
  • 6 years in the current position.
  • 4 years managing people or projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance manufacturing.
  • Experience working with specific equipment brands like Krones, Husky, Sidel, etc.
  • Experience leading and developing others.
  • Skilled in fabrication, electrical systems, and schematic interpretation.
