Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for our client on the 2nd shift in Kentucky. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and production machinery, with emphasis on PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and electrical controls.

Responsibilities

Senior Maintenance Technician - Direct Hire

Pay: $52,000-$80,000/year (Based on Experience)

Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday, 2:45 PM-11:15 PM

Job Duties

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems.
• Diagnose and repair HMI, SCADA, servo drive, electrical, and control system issues.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on production equipment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Education Requirements

• Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Training in electrical systems, PLC programming, automation, or industrial controls highly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, technical manuals, and machine documentation.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of Industrial Maintenance, Controls Technician, Automation Technician, or Electrical Maintenance experience.
• Advanced PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics experience required.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
• Strong knowledge of servo systems, industrial automation, and electrical controls.
• Experience performing predictive and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex production equipment issues.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Primarily standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to safely perform maintenance duties in an industrial environment
