Job summary

UDR, Inc. in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for Arbor Park, a 851-home community. You will deliver first-class maintenance and celebrate resident happiness and retention daily.

Responsibilities include repairing, prepping apartments, supervising contractors, and mentoring junior staff. A strong on-call rotation and EPA certification are required; a valid license is a must.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in multi-family, hospitality, or similar industry.
• Competency in residential plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, painting, and drywall.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the community and report deficiencies.
• Respond to resident requests and repair or restore service promptly.
• Prepare apartments for occupancy including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and repairs.
• Manage tools, equipment, and inventory; assist in scheduling contractors.
• Train and mentor new Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and internal customers.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
