Job summary
UDR, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Legacy at Mayland in Richmond, Virginia. You will work to keep the 576-unit community well maintained, handling plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep to create comfortable homes for residents.
Responding to resident requests, preparing apartments for occupancy, and maintaining tools and safety practices are essential. A vocational certificate and 2+ years of maintenance experience are preferred.
Qualifications
- Technical or vocational certificate/degree preferred.
- At least two years in building and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, appliances, painting and drywall.
- HVAC and carpentry experience a plus; EPA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Respond to resident requests and repair or restore service quickly.
- Keep the community grounds and buildings clean and safe; report safety issues.
- Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and cleaning.
- Maintain tools and workspace; help stock inventory.
- Provide superior internal/external customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
