Job summary

Hill's Pet Nutrition in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily upkeep of production equipment for wet canned pet foods. You will perform electrical, PLC and mechanical maintenance, support changeovers, and track KPIs using SAP.

The role requires 1+ year in industrial maintenance or a related technical degree, practical ability to work in tight spaces, and willingness to shift as needed. Health benefits and retirement plans are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Industrial maintenance experience or a vocational/technical degree is preferred.
• Ability to bend, climb, crawl and lift up to 50 lbs; able to work in hazardous conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and infrastructure for wet canned product production.
• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, instrumentation and mechanical systems.
• Support changeovers, preventive maintenance and parts coordination.
• Operate forklift, boom and scissor lifts as needed.
• Analyze data to track KPIs using SAP or related systems.
