Job summary

RS Utility Structures Inc. in Humble, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to support advanced preventive maintenance and repair across our manufacturing facility.

You will diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, repair pumps and drive systems, and ensure safe, reliable production while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires independence, strong technical skills, and a commitment to safety; overhead crane certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and relevant technical training.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment independently.
• Proficiency with pumps, drive systems, piping, valves, and other plant equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and maintenance standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive maintenance and complex repairs on manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to support safe, reliable production operations.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and repair pumps, drive systems, piping, valves, and related components.
• Operate shop tools and measurement equipment to complete repairs safely and accurately.
• Support installation, rebuilds, and upgrades of critical production systems.
• Execute lubrication routes and preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, rigging, and lifting practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement.
