Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in general maintenance repair work that includes electrical and mechanical.
• Basic measuring skills to read English and metric systems.
• Ability to read work orders and use hand tools and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents pre-shift inspection of equipment as required.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots to identify source of electrical or mechanical issues.
• Dismantles machines and removes parts for repair using hand tools, cranes, or hoists.
• Reassembles machines after repairs according to manufacturer requirements.
• Starts machines and observes operation to ensure efficiency and detect problems.
• Inspects damaged parts and advises on repair needs.
• Lubricates parts and applies materials per procedures.
• Installs or changes machine parts according to specs.
• Records production, repair, and maintenance information.
• Reads work orders to identify equipment needing repair.
• Sets up and operates machines; adjusts controls as needed.
• Collaborates with coworkers to repair or move equipment.
• Maintains equipment files and procurement of spare parts for preventive maintenance.
• Occasional local driving of non-DOT company vehicle for parts.
