Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Senior Maintenance professional for the Metals Plant in Chesterfield, MI (2nd shift, M-F 2pm-10pm). You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery, troubleshoot with electrical schematics, and perform hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, a high school diploma or technical certificate, and the ability to lead others while maintaining records and ordering parts.

Qualifications

• Approximately three to five years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• High school diploma, Technical school certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and write to follow maintenance requests; maintain simple records.
• Analytical skills to evaluate machine/equipment functions.
• Ability to use electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to interact with management with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to become authorized in Lockout/Tagout within probationary period.
• Obtain a Hilo license within the probationary period.
• Ability to operate Tool Room equipment: Grinder, Bridgeport, Welder.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery using manual and power tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment by reading schematics and using testing equipment.
• Perform repairs and installations requiring hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical skills.
• Maintain files of work orders and maintenance histories.
• Place orders for repair parts or materials via telephone, computer, or written correspondence.
• Lead and direct other maintenance personnel.
