Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission seeks a Maintenance Supervisor IV - Assistant Plant Manager at the Lubbock site. You will supervise complex maintenance programs, coordinate construction projects, and ensure compliance with safety codes and accreditation standards, while training staff and managing critical facilities operations.

Applicants should have five years of supervisory maintenance experience, relevant certifications, and a valid Texas driver license.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in a supervisory role in one of the maintenance fields.
• Must be certified to evaluate RFPs, or obtain certification within one year of employment.
• Licensure/certification in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry preferred.
• Valid Texas driver license or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
• Pass background checks, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• All applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors, and supervises construction projects to ensure proper resource use and compliance with codes.
• Develops and revises policies for physical plant operations.
• Supervises staff, conducts training, and performs annual reviews in CAPPS.
• Oversees maintenance repair programs, projects, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinates contracts and purchases within budget and tracks progress.
• Maintains preventative maintenance via CAFM and responds to capital needs.
