Job summary

Elan Oceano is actively seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee on-site maintenance at the Oceanside, CA community. This hands-on leadership role requires guiding the maintenance team, addressing work orders promptly, and ensuring resident satisfaction through high-quality upkeep.

Our client, CONAM Management, offers full benefits and compensation with a pay range of $27.00–$31.00 per hour plus 100% housing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of hands‑on experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years of multi‑family industry experience preferred
• 1–2 years in a supervisory role strongly preferred
• Able to handle tools and power equipment (drills, saws, grinders, electrical testers) and HVAC/plumbing tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Strong troubleshooting abilities to resolve maintenance issues with minimal resident disruption
• Excellent verbal and written communication with residents, team, and vendors
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in an on‑call rotation
• Lift up to 50 lbs and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance coverage

Responsibilities

• Coach the maintenance team and monitor performance against goals.
• Train staff on maintenance, safety and customer service procedures.
• Assist with annual budget and bid recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with state laws and CONAM policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Maintain safety and operational standards across maintenance tasks.
• Drive locally for property management needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
