Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meetGreystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves diagnosing defects, making repairs, and coordinating make-ready tasks for leasing up units.

The position operates Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with rotating on-call duties, requiring strong safety awareness and customer service skills to serve residents and uphold company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management and assist visitors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in resident units and community facilities per policy and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and ensure timely readiness.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with Community Manager on supplies.
• Participate in monthly preventive maintenance procedures and safety meetings.
