Job summary

Royal American Companies in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to oversee preservation and upkeep of the property under the Community Manager. You will operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies while maintaining high attendance and professional communication with residents and team members.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and grounds upkeep, with on-site responsibilities and seasonal standby

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• EPA certification; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Experience in multi-family property maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy.
• Complete hazard assessments before starting tasks.
• Utilize safety equipment when exposed to hazards.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment per manuals.
• Inspect units, buildings and common areas for repairs.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Maintain property grounds and assist custodial tasks.
• Communicate with Community Manager regularly.
• Report unusual or extraordinary property incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance.
• Provide training to colleagues when appropriate.
