Job summary

Aviagen in Pikeville, TN is seeking highly experienced Maintenance III team members to oversee all aspects of the maintenance function, ensuring safe operations and regulatory compliance. The role partners with management to create and maintain a safe work environment.

The position covers preventive maintenance, repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facility systems, including farm equipment and proprietary components. Strong versatility is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, flooring, masonry, electrical, welding, roofing, machinery, mechanics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and read task instructions including Lock-out/Tag-out.
• Own tools including socket set, wrenches, saws, grinder, drill, volt meter and tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities, perform preventive maintenance, and repair issues across buildings and grounds.
• Repair electrical and plumbing fixtures, HVAC components, and farm equipment as needed.
• Inspect, service, and operate safety systems, lights, and security equipment.
• Work with maintenance team to learn proprietary equipment and ensure safe operations.
