Job summary

Aviagen in Pikeville, Tennessee, is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance III to lead the facility maintenance team. The role focuses on ensuring safe working conditions and regulatory compliance across buildings and grounds.

The candidate will perform advanced repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and farm equipment, while coordinating preventive maintenance and updating safety protocols. Excellent teamwork and tool proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Experience in agriculture-based settings preferred.
Ability to perform advanced mechanical repairs on buildings and grounds.
Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read and follow task-specific instructions including Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the maintenance function to ensure safe working conditions.
Perform preventive maintenance on buildings, structures and grounds.
Repair tasks including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems, and farm equipment.
Install and repair systems such as water lines, wiring, lighting, and cameras.
Conduct safety checks and maintain inventory of parts and tools.
