Evergreen-Village-of-Fort-Wayne is seeking a hands-on maintenance leader to oversee safety, a secure resident home, and compliant operations within a senior living community in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role supports a preventative maintenance program and leads a team to ensure reliable performance of essential systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical work is required.
• Senior living experience is desired and valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety programs and maintains a secure resident home and environment.
• Maintains preventative maintenance to ensure proper function of all equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the maintenance team.
• Repairs, replaces, and installs minor equipment, hardware and controls.
• Maintains water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment, and related systems.
• Maintains community plumbing systems and completes maintenance requests (scheduled and emergency).
• Performs inventory and ensures proper storage and usage of chemical supplies.
• Implements safety protocols to comply with OSHA requirements and reduce incidents.
• Delivers fire and disaster education and conducts drills with residents and staff.
• Engages with residents warmly, reflecting values of care and dignity.
