Job summary

Ultimate Staffing seeks a maintenance and reliability leader to design and implement a greenfield maintenance program, drive CMMS/EAM systems, and build high-performing teams in a 24/7 manufacturing setting in Durham, NC. Lead asset strategies, safety programs, and continuous improvement to boost uptime and production performance.

You will partner with operations, engineering, EHS, and leadership to deliver measurable reliability improvements and scalable maintenance practices across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical leadership experience
• 10+ years of industrial maintenance and reliability experience
• 5+ years leading maintenance teams in 24/7 manufacturing or process environment
• Experience implementing CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM/MM, Oracle EAM, Maximo, Infor EAM
• Proven success building maintenance programs from ground up
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, safety programs, and reliability initiatives

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the site's maintenance management system
• Create work management processes from notification through closeout
• Develop asset-based maintenance strategies using equipment criticality
• Establish KPIs including PM compliance, uptime, backlog health, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs
• Lead Mechanical Integrity programs for regulated equipment and ensure audit readiness
• Own CMMS/EAM selection, configuration, deployment, and adoption
• Build asset hierarchies, equipment master data, PM libraries, and job plans
• Configure work order workflows, planning, scheduling, mobile maintenance execution, and reporting
• Integrate maintenance systems with ERP, production, and plant data platforms
• Drive training, testing, go-live support, and continuous improvement
• Establish reliability-centered maintenance practices
• Lead FMEA, root cause analysis, asset strategy reviews, and defect elimination efforts
• Implement predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis, and motor testing
• Improve asset availability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance
• Develop critical spare parts strategies and inventory controls
• Create efficient storeroom processes and inventory management systems
• Improve inventory accuracy, stock availability, and MRO performance
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes
• Develop maintenance technicians, planners, reliability engineers, and specialty trades
• Implement skills development, certification, and training programs
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Own maintenance safety performance across all maintenance activities
• Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, and outage planning
• Partner with operations to maximize equipment reliability and OEE
• Lead turnaround and shutdown planning activities
