Job summary

State of Maryland's Potomac Center/SETT facility in Hagerstown seeks an experienced maintenance trades technician. The role focuses on building and grounds upkeep, repairs to roadways and walks, routine preventative maintenance, and general services tasks.

The advanced position will perform hands-on maintenance with occasional supervision of a team, including Maintenance Mechanics and janitorial staff, to ensure safe, functional facilities for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in any maintenance trades.
• Three years must be in electricity, plumbing, steam fitting, refrigeration or air conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs to roadways and walks, routine preventive maintenance, heavy janitorial and general services work.
• Provide guidance to a team of unskilled or semi-skilled staff and examine completed work.
