Precision Castparts Corp. in San Leandro is seeking a full-time Maintenance technician to perform mechanical tasks and maintain plant equipment to meet production and safety standards. Day shift 5am-1:30pm, on-site, Training provided.

The role requires knowledge of electrical theory, ability to read blueprints, and hands-on skills in welding, piping, and mechanical maintenance. You will log work, order parts, and support PM activities to minimize downtime.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of vocational or trade school to learn basic and specialized trade theories.
• Ability to read and write (legibly) and follow verbal and written instructions, normally acquired through completion of high school.
• Knowledge of mechanical theory and shop practices.

Aufgaben

• Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment.
• Demonstrate ability to log on main computer system, extract information, log time.
• Disassemble equipment to determine extent of repair and approximate cost; determine best repair solution.
• Adjusts equipment to obtain optimum running condition.
• Maintain spare parts and hardware items in organized and prudent manner.
• Repairs facilities problems such as plumbing, welding, carpentry.
