Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide preventative and corrective maintenance across multiple facility areas. The role involves reading blueprints, installing and repairing equipment, welding as needed, and directing preventive tasks while following safety rules from supervision.

You will operate cranes and forklifts, document activities, and assist operators. A high school diploma and ability to lift 35 lbs, plus flexible shifts, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to wear PPE as required.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability and willingness to work any shifts, including nights, holidays and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, twist and stretch arms above head.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and written work instructions.
• Progress through on-the-job training and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follows all facility safety programs/polices.
• Rotate between various areas within facility.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams and sketches.
• Installs, repairs, dismantles and/or removes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production equipment.
• Welds, brazes, and/or solders metal stock, pipe, and wire as required.
• Performs or directs preventive maintenance duties.
• Operates floor-controlled crane, industrial truck and/or other motorized equipment.
• Completes all applicable documentation related to job assignment.
