Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to setup and maintain plant equipment, ensuring production and safety standards are met. The role requires hands-on electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems work, tooling maintenance, and collaboration with supervisors to minimize downtime.

The candidate should be able to read diagrams, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor in a day shift environment in California.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and write and follow instructions.
• Two years of vocational or trade school training preferred.
• Minimum two years of progressive maintenance experience in plumbing/electrical/fabrication/hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow housekeeping and safety practices to maintain a safe work environment.
• Log time and complete departmental paperwork with detail.
• Disassemble and repair equipment; estimate costs.
• Read wiring diagrams and blueprints; install electrical systems.
• Lubricate and maintain plant machinery per schedule.
• Coordinate repairs with supervisors to minimize downtime.
• Maintain spare parts and tools in an organized way.
• Train less skilled personnel as assigned.
