Job summary

Saint-Gobain Abrasives in Worcester, MA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II responsible for complex troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance across facilities and production equipment, including low voltage electrical, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with other departments on capital projects; must follow TPM and OEE concepts; schedule Tuesday–Saturday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related trade school education, apprenticeship and/or experience.
• Broad mechanical expertise including machinery, electrical, hydraulics, metals, welding, and piping functions.
• Ability to read and understand diagrams, schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions.
• Install, repair, or replace components using hand and power tools.
• Maintain equipment inventories and assist with capital purchases.
