Job summary

Saint-Gobain Abrasives in Worcester, MA seeks a Maintenance Mechanic II to perform complex troubleshooting, repair, installation and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment across mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. You will read blueprints and collaborate with other teams.

The role requires high school diploma/GED, trade training, forklift license, and ability to work Tue–Sat. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and a local pay range of $36.14–$39.76 per hour

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with related trade school education, apprenticeship or experience.
Broad mechanical expertise including machinery, electrical, hydraulics, metals, welding, plumbing.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints; understands trade math.
Trade licenses/certifications preferred; forklift license required.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex machinery using instrumentation and experience.
Assemble, install and repair wiring, low voltage electrical components, HVAC/R, piping and machinery.
Set up and fabricate machine components using lathes, drill presses and other metalworking tools.
Record maintenance and repair work; manage inventory of parts and supplies.
Collaborate with other departments on capital purchasing decisions.
