Job summary

THE PANTHER GROUP in Worcester County seeks a Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician to support reliability and uptime of production equipment. This hands-on role emphasizes root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering and production to implement improvements.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, maintain vacuum systems, perform preventive maintenance, and update SOPs as processes change. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Approximately 5+ years of hands-on industrial/manufacturing equipment maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Solid electrical troubleshooting ability and understanding of basic electrical systems.
• Experience with motors, pumps, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
• Experience with vacuum equipment or vacuum systems is highly desirable.
• Ability to investigate problems, identify root causes, and work independently toward solutions.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and equipment calibration.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with engineering, production, vendors, and other maintenance personnel.
• PLC/Controls Experience: Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other industrial control platforms is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex manufacturing and production equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues involving motors, pumps, wiring, controls, and other equipment components.
• Work with vacuum systems and equipment, including high-powered vacuum applications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, calibrations, and adjustments.
• Investigate equipment failures and determine root causes.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Work with engineering and production teams on equipment improvements and modifications.
• Assist with equipment automation and process improvements.
• Update maintenance documentation, procedures, and SOPs when equipment or processes change.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs or technical support are required.
• Order replacement parts and supplies as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance technicians.
• Work independently and prioritize multiple equipment issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule & Overtime

• First-shift schedule with a choice of: 6:00 AM-3:30 PM, 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Overtime is available and technicians may work approximately 50 hours during a Monday-Friday workweek when needed.
