Job summary

Habitat America, LLC in Oxon Hill, MD seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise all on-site maintenance at Homes at Oxon Hill Senior Apartments. You will manage work orders, coordinate turnovers, and lead a maintenance team to uphold safety and quality.

HVAC/CFC certified technicians preferred; ability to read contractor scopes, mentor staff, and provide excellent resident service. Weekend and on-call rotation will be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• HVAC/CFC certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and oversee contractor work scopes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physically capable of extensive mobility, lifting, and outdoor work.
• Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily maintenance operations for the community.
• Assign and prioritize work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Perform and supervise appliance repairs, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC-related issues (HVAC & CFC certifications preferred).
• Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Coordinate and complete unit turnovers efficiently.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Participate in and manage the after-hours on-call rotation.
• Maintain professional and positive resident relations.
