Job summary

Sterling Personnel is seeking a Lead Maintenance for an apartment community in Texas. The role involves directing day-to-day maintenance, supervising staff, and ensuring repairs and preventative tasks meet company standards.

Responsibilities include supervising make-ready units, HVAC and general systems maintenance, emergency response, and coordinating special projects. Must reside within 20–30 minutes of the community and maintain professional relations with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to delegate instructions to staff and ensure tasks are completed.
• Oversee quality of work and adherence to company standards.
• Train staff and supervise daily activities.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting.
• Experience with HVAC systems and maintenance planning.
• Pool maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance under Community Director for day-to-day operations.
• Manage make-ready and maintenance orders and staff delegation.
• Perform preventative maintenance scheduling and execution.
• Repair and maintain fixtures, appliances and building exteriors.
• Coordinate special projects and respond to emergencies 24/7.
• Maintain grounds and assist with safety and resident relations.
