Job summary

San José Mineta International Airport (SJC) seeks a Senior Maintenance Worker to lead a crew of 6–8 staff across maintenance and repair tasks at the airport facilities. You will oversee special projects, manage work orders, parts, and expenses, and support daily operations in a 24/7 environment.

The role emphasizes field repair work, overseeing safety, scheduling, and ensuring quality in infrastructure, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping throughout airport properties.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent (GED or California Proficiency Certificate) and four years’ maintenance/repair experience.
• At least one year leading a crew on semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff, plan, schedule, and assign work for construction activities and airport facilities maintenance.
• Repair walls, doors, flooring, roofing, and related systems.
• Install and repair roadways, landscaping, irrigation, and parking areas.
• Develop work priorities and manage CMMS program.
• Guide maintenance programs and assist Airport Maintenance Manager daily.
