Job summary

A.O. Smith is seeking a Plant Engineering & Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, facilities, engineering, reliability, and capital project activities in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a hands‑on manufacturing leadership background, proven results in improving equipment reliability and facility performance, and a track record of delivering operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience directing maintenance, facilities, engineering and technical teams.
• Strong background in reliability, asset management, and continuous improvement.
• Experience administering CMMS platforms and maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability activities across the facility.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, controls, and automation systems.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Utilize CMMS to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, asset histories, and maintenance planning.
• Lead capital improvement projects from planning through execution.
• Develop business cases and ROI justifications for capital expenditures.
