Job summary

CGL is seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance operations across facilities in Georgia. The CME ensures facilities are well maintained and operable, acting as the technical spokesperson in client meetings and as the lead technician on site.

You will assign and schedule work, supervise staff, and coordinate with regional management. This on-site role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong diagnostic and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years skilled maintenance and/or commercial experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job requests and work orders daily to determine workload priorities.
• Assigns work to staff and monitors progress towards completion.
• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, gas, life safety, security systems.
• Conducts routine facility inspections for safety and operations.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Keeps client and management informed of progress and resources.
