Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC in Austin, TX seeks a Chief Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance operations for the facility services contract, ensuring systems are reliable and compliant. You will manage maintenance staff, coordinate with the client, perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, life safety and other systems, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

Strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4–6 years of skilled maintenance or commercial experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings; proficient with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job requests and work orders daily to determine workload priorities.
• Assigns work to staff and monitors progress toward completion.
• Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, gas, life safety and other systems.
• Conducts routine facility inspections for safety and operation standards.
• Performs general trades work as required.
• Maintains documentation and communicates status to management and client.
