Job summary

University of Utah Health is seeking a senior Maintenance Engineer to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the Huntsman Cancer Hospital facilities in Salt Lake City. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and mentor a team, ensuring compliance with NFPA/NIAHO standards.

After-hours on-call rotations are required. The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, teamwork, and independent problem solving in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of hands-on, building related maintenance and repair experience.
• At least three (3) certifications/licenses in related trades.
• Valid Utah Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains building systems to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Mentors maintenance staff and covers after-hours on-call rotation.
