University of Utah Health is seeking a junior maintenance technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance of equipment within the health care physical environment. This role operates under the guidance of a Maintenance Engineer II or above and does not involve direct patient care.

The position is based at University of Utah Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT, with day shifts. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, data entry into CMMS, and ensuring equipment safety and regulatory

Competenze

18 months of hands-on maintenance and repair experience in relevant areas (HVAC, piping, electrical, etc).
Valid State of Utah Driver's License may be required depending on department.
Must be able to meet physical demands and operate in a healthcare environment.

Mansioni

Operates, repairs, overhauls, services, and maintains equipment in healthcare environments.
Performs regularly scheduled preventive maintenance based on manufacturer guidance and codes.
Enters data into the CMMS system.
Maintains clean equipment rooms and AHU filter changes.
Maintains equipment performance and repair records.
Completes fire extinguisher inspections.
Participates in after-hours on-call rotation.
Assists in mechanical/electrical alterations to improve efficiency and lifespan of equipment.
Assists in ensuring regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
