University of Utah Health seeks a mid-level Maintenance Engineer I to support the health system by maintaining patient and non-patient equipment and performing routine and preventative maintenance. You will analyze mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective actions to ensure continuous, safe operations.

The role covers carpentry, mechanical and electrical maintenance, plumbing, life-safety testing, and after-hours on-call rotations in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of hands-on, building related maintenance and repair experience.
• Valid professional trade license or certifications (HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc.) per unit requirements.
• A State of Utah Driver's License may be required depending on department.

Responsabilités

• Perform carpentry work including lock set repair, wall repair, patch and paint, and door system adjustments.
• Perform mechanical work such as equipment readings, pneumatic tube repair/cleaning, and testing of emergency generators and lights.
• Perform minor non-licensed electrical repairs (outlets, switches, etc.).
• Perform minor plumbing repairs (faucets, valves).
• Test fire walls, fire barriers and sprinkler systems; ensure life safety compliance.
• Complete repairs on fans, dampers, cooling towers, air handlers, and related equipment.
• Complete required after-hours on-call rotation.
