Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a maintenance engineer to join the Enterprise Maintenance team in the United States. You will develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and lead maintenance on production equipment.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem‑solving, and the ability to coordinate with safety, quality, and operations teams to ensure equipment remains operational and compliant with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on maintenance engineering in manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial settings.
• Experience building and managing preventive maintenance programs with CMMS.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage PM programs for mechanical, electrical, controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment failures; lead corrective maintenance to restore operations with minimal downtime.
• Lead maintenance activities on production machinery and tooling as technical lead.
• Create and maintain procedures and equipment documentation per Blue Origin standards.
• Manage work orders in CMMS with accurate labor, parts, and findings.
