Job summary

Hunt Military Communities seeks a Maintenance Director to lead multi-unit property maintenance, ensuring safety, cost control, and high standards of curb appeal and resident service. You will oversee staff, vendor relationships, and preventive maintenance programs across 950+ units.

The role requires 4–6 years in building maintenance with supervisory experience, familiarity with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff, recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate up to termination of direct reports.
• Oversee financial performance within approved budget and maximize cash flow after debt service.
• Coordinate vendor/contractor communications, scheduling, and invoices.
• Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance personnel and ensure training compliance.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies and conduct on-going safety meetings.
