Job summary

Signature IT World Inc. seeks a Senior Infrastructure-Mainframe VTAM Consultant for a long-term engagement in the United States. The role focuses on expert installation, upgrades, and automation within a z/OS mainframe environment.

You will lead complex VTAM-related tasks, manage vendor software installations, and support ongoing OS upgrades using zOSMF workflows. Strong diagnostics, system programming, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with SMPE/NonSMPE installation and maintenance of ISV products.
• Expertise with IBM and Broadcom software product installation and upgrades.
• Mastery of z/OS system commands, utilities, and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard system programming activities including configuration and maintenance using SMPE.
• Handle OS upgrades and RSU maintenance via zOSMF Workflow.
• Install and configure complex z/OS environments and third-party software.
• Support storage management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Assist in feature implementations and software standardization across the mainframe environment.
