Job summary

Smart IT Frame LLC is looking for a skilled automation engineer to work in enterprise-scale mainframe environments. You will design and support automation workflows within z/OS infrastructure, contributing to reliable systems that support critical business processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Broadcom OPS/MVS, REXX scripting, and knowledge of mainframe technologies. Strong collaboration skills with distributed teams are necessary for success in this role.

Qualifications

Solid experience working with mainframe / IBM Z environments in enterprise settings.
Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system and core automation concepts.
Hands-on experience with Broadcom OPS/MVS and System State Manager or similar automation tools.
Advanced expertise in REXX scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
Practical knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2, or IMS, and JCL within mainframe ecosystems.
Experience supporting production environments, including batch processing and incident handling.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using Broadcom OPS/MVS and System State Manager.
Write and optimize REXX scripts for automation, monitoring, and operational processes.
Configure and support automation failover in multi-site environments.
Collaborate with infrastructure and mainframe teams to implement automation solutions.
Create and maintain documentation, including runbooks and operational procedures.
