Job summary
KeyBank seeks an experienced mainframe developer in Brooklyn, OH, to own the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of banking software. You will work within an agile DevOps environment, ensuring Code quality, security and regulatory compliance across large transaction systems.
Ideal candidates have 10–15 years of Mainframe Hogan experience and strong skills in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM, plus tooling like TWS/CA7.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10–15 years of relevant Mainframe Hogan experience.
- Experience with IBM SQL Studio, TWS, CA7, Cobol, JCL, CICS, DB2 and VSAM.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate and maintain banking products.
- Own production-ready and testable code end-to-end.
- Create scalable, reliable software designs following best practices.
- Analyze failures and implement design improvements.
- Ensure customer experience is prioritized in design and coding.
- Incorporate feedback from code reviews to meet standards.
- Conduct code reviews to uphold engineering best practices and compliance.
- Ensure compliance and security best practices across product development.
- Support software reliability engineering standards in development.
- Embrace emerging tech opportunities and contribute to best practices.
- Foster innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Prioritize and size tasks for incremental delivery; flag blockers early.
