Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in computer operations or data center support.
• Experience in a 24x7 or batch-driven mainframe operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Job Monitoring & Response: Monitor and troubleshoot high-volume job streams and system messages with minimal supervision.
• Incident Handling & RCA: Investigate recurring job failures and assist in documenting root cause analysis.
• Procedure Optimization: Recommend updates to runbooks, checklists, and SOPs.
• Mentoring & Shift Support: Assist with onboarding and training junior staff; serve as a go-to resource during shift.
• Change & Maintenance Coordination: Support infrastructure maintenance windows and validate job restarts post activity.
• Reporting & Communication: Provide shift summaries and communicate operational risks to operations management.
