Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Architect for Mainframe Modernization to lead strategic engagements with global clients. You will drive discovery, craft architected modernization plans, and present solid business cases to senior leadership while partnering with product teams to shape roadmaps.

The role is remote in the United States and emphasizes collaboration, risk management, and delivering transformation with minimal disruption to business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences.
• 20+ years as an architect in hosting/network space, preferably with a service provider.
• Over 12 years as a Modernization/Migration Architect leading legacy upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe migration and legacy modernization.
• 15+ years across mainframe stack: COBOL, CICS, VSAM, z/OS, DB2, JCL, PL/I, assembler.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and Consulting to create Pursuit, Solution, and Sales strategies.
• Conduct discovery and assessment workshops with cross-functional resources.
• Develop and document solutions meeting client requirements and modernization needs.
• Lead solution development sessions and present to diverse audiences.
• Gain executive buy-in for complex solutions through strategic discussions.
• Establish trust as a trusted advisor, offering technology recommendations.
• Align with Product Management to drive enhancements and roadmap changes.
• Drive stability and innovation in client state using product offerings.
